Custom Lithophane Photo Gifts — Turn Your Favourite Photo Into a Glowing 3D Keepsake
Some gifts get opened, admired for a minute, and forgotten in a drawer. A lithophane isn’t one of them. It’s a 3D-printed panel made from your own photo — invisible in daylight, and glowing with the full image the moment it’s lit from behind. It’s the kind of gift people actually keep on a shelf, a nightstand, or a desk for years.
Upload a photo below and watch it turn into a 3D model in seconds, right in your browser — no waiting, no guessing what you’ll get. Choose a shape and size, see exactly how it will glow, and order it made right here in Ireland.

Perfect For:
Lithophanes make one of the most personal gifts you can give, because the “design” is a moment that actually happened — not a template. Popular occasions our customers order for:
- Christmas — a photo gift that doesn’t look like everyone else’s under the tree
- Anniversaries & weddings — a favourite photo from the big day, glowing on a nightstand
- Mother’s Day & Father’s Day — grandkids, family photos, a moment they’ll actually display
- New baby — a first photo or scan picture, turned into a keepsake that lasts
- Pets — because a photo of the dog deserves better than a phone lock screen
- Memorial & remembrance gifts — a quiet, lasting way to keep someone’s photo close
- Couples’ gifts — a shared memory neither of you will misplace
Choose Your Shape
Flat / Straight (Framed)
A classic framed photo panel with a solid border, sized to match standard photo-frame ratios — 4×6″, 5×7″ and 6×8″. Sits in any LED light frame or photo stand you already own.
Arc / Curved
Our most popular shape. The curved panel stands on its own on a desk or nightstand — no separate stand needed — and pairs beautifully with a small LED candle placed behind it for a soft, even glow.
Keychain
A small, precise lithophane sized to carry with you — a photo of your kids, your pet, or your other half, small enough for a keyring or a bag.
(Curved lamp cylinders and 4-photo box lamps are coming soon — ask us if you’d like to be notified.)
How It Works
- Upload a photo. A clear, well-lit photo with good contrast works best — faces, pets, landscapes and group photos all print beautifully.
- Watch it become 3D, instantly. Right in your browser, your photo is turned into a printable 3D model. Toggle “Simulate backlight” to see exactly how it will glow once lit.
- Pick your shape and size, add it to your cart, and we print it to order — no two lithophanes are ever quite the same, because no two photos are.
Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of photo works best?
Photos with good contrast and a clear subject work best — a face lit from the front, a pet against a plain background, a landscape with a defined horizon. Very dark or very flat, low-contrast photos can come out less detailed, but our live preview shows you exactly what to expect before you order, so there’s never a surprise.
Do I need a light or stand?
The Arc shape stands on its own thanks to its curved design — just place a small LED candle or nightlight behind it. The Flat/Straight shape is sized to fit standard photo-frame LED light bases. We’re happy to advise on lighting if you’re not sure what you need.
Is it fragile?
Lithophanes are printed in solid PLA plastic — sturdy enough for everyday handling and display, though like any fine detail print, we’d suggest keeping it somewhere it won’t be dropped.
How long does it take?
Each lithophane is printed to order once your photo and design are confirmed. Get in touch if you need it by a specific date — we’re always happy to help with gift deadlines.
Can I see what it will look like before I pay?
Yes — that’s the whole idea. The preview on this page is generated from your actual photo, not a mock-up, so what you see is genuinely what gets printed.
